New RTP Package featuring the Moates.net Demon

HRTuning Sun Apr 12, 2009 7:17 pm

I've been playing with the Demon and I absolutely love the hardware, the simple installation, and the fitment. I've posted a presale for the new NepTune RTP package featuring the Demon hardware on HRTuning.com

http://www.hrtuning.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=28

The RTP is back and better than ever.

would there be a reason for the owners of the older RTP to "upgrade"?

On board logging, smaller package. Otherwise, the software will still support the RTP the same.

Ya, the original RTP is just fine if you don't absolutely need the logging. He plans on offering it as an option, so I'm going to support it.

So if it purchased it from moates would be $250 without the license/software and such right?

Right, then you can use it with whatever you want.

So just to make sure we have to buy and new license to use the demon with the Neptune software?
We can't just use the serial from our current RTP units?

The software license is attached to the RTP. It goes when you sell it. In this respect, the new unit needs one too.

Will you be able to log the 4 additional inputs in the current software? Congrads all this worked out for you, seems like it came out rather quickly too.

Yes, nothing will change with software functionality. There will be new stuff added though. To be announced. Smile

so if i order the neptune rtp demon package, i can still take my vehicle to go and get tuned by an authorized neptune tuner? and then afterwards i can make changes to the tune if i so desire, because i will have paid the fee for the licensing and the software when i purchased the demon right?

I quickly skimmed through the news and announcements and was under the impression that this kind of went back to the first concepts of neptune where authorized tuners were only allowed to have the software and do the tuning.
