Yes, it was released to the public in 2004. There's been plenty of additions since then.

He decided to stop paying the license fees and keep them for himself. He's made no effort to get in touch to resolve this.

are you able to elaborate on the licensing process that is required for all of the neptuners?

If they tune with the software package, they pay the license for it. If they don't I try my best to resolve it, but if not I have to cancel their dealer status.

does this also apply to neptune rtp??

in the 450 price, does that include the price of the rtp board and the licensing fee for the software??

if i may ask, when expanding the dealer/tuner list are you approaching these folks or are these folks approaching you?

i remember in a previous page of this thread, you mentioned that you never took a direct marketing strategy when promoting your neptune product, it was all by word of mouth, so id assume that some tuners are approaching you and wanting to be on that list in order to help you promote the neptune product.....correct????

So what's to prevent Mr. Hunt from still using the NepTune software version to tune cars?

Anybody is capable of using the Neptune software if they or there customer has the RTP board. The dealers are the only ones with software that allows them to burn a bin file too a compatiable chip and not just upload an ncl file(im pretty sure thats the extension ill have too check when i get home) too the rtp board. This can cost less going through a dealer then just having someone outright tune the RTP boards. The rtp boards really arent cost effective unless you want too tune the car yourself or when craig gets going on the onboard datalogging and the PWM boost control gets setup. Then it will be worth the cost difference for your everyday person looking to get there car tuned by an authorized dealer.

i usually recommend neptune eprom to folks who want to run neptun BUT NEVER EVER plan on tuning their own vehicle, some just dont like risking their hard earned money on changing something that was set by someone who knows their shit, but with neptune eprom, the end user wouldnt be able to tune the car themselves anyway since they wouldnt have access to the software and the settings would be on a 28 pin eprom chip of some sort i beleive....

i have plans on tuning my vehicle later down the road, hence the reason why i want to go with neptune rtp, but i will still plan on having it tuned by a pro because as of right now i have no damn iidea or clue when it comes to tuning....

If that was in response to me Sal then I am fully aware of the differences between the two. If you notice I mentioned the 'software' version....
IE: Non-RTP tuning solution.

Is there anythiing to prevent him from burning more chips using the NepTune dealer software?
