Neptune acting up while tuning

8400rpm Tue Jul 16, 2019 7:34 am

Ive got an issue where, while driving and tuning, my neptune acts up after a little while.
-The status bar is green and continuously swops between updating/connected.
- the datalogging stops
-i cant make any afr changes
-a red light turns on on neptune board.

I was able to get going again by restarting software but now that doesnt seem to help as much.

I have check cn2 is connected well and j12 is removed.

Any ideas?

You either have electrical interference or the hardware is losing connectivity to the ECU. It shouldn't go red without the green at any other time.

I seem to have solved the issue and therefore updating this post.
I have:
1. Removed pwr and ground splices from ecu to afr gauge. I spliced on original ecu wiring and on obd2 to obd1 adapter. I always used one set though maybe 2 splices cause a drop in voltage or maybe connection wasnt ideal..maybe.

2.removed demon board from ecu and plugged it in again. The connection seemed solid enough. I do have a perspex cover and in order to fit it i drilled a hole for that plastic piece to protude out of. The plastic piece seems to push and keep demon board in place.i have refitted original metal cover that presses down on plastic piece.
3. Removed and replugged cable from demon board to ecu.

Im not sure if these were responsible however ive tuned for a couple days now with no issue.
