Help with Vtec not activating/switching maps

92cxturbo Mon Nov 28, 2016 9:40 pm

I having an issue with vtec not activating, the vtp gauge does not light up and the maps don't switch over. I have tuned quite a few cars with Neptune before and never experienced any issue like this before. Any help or advise would be much apprenticed. I can attach the tune file and a datalog, but I'm not seeing anywhere to add attachments? TIA

VTS is the VTEC output. If you're not getting VTS output then you should have a code present for the reason.

Sorry I meant the vts output is not lighting up. The MIL light does not come on either. IF the vtec hardware is not installed into the ecu, it should throw a code correct? I'm kind of baffled, lol.

I'm thinking maybe having the demon reset and uploading the base code/calibration again. Maybe the customer didn't do it properly when I enabled vtec. Thanks for your help though.

You can certainly upload basecode to ensure that the tune you have open is on the unit. Make sure VTEC is enabled.
