Version of Demon

24 7 Sat Dec 19, 2015 4:38 pm

Hi

New to the Neptune system. I recently bought the Neptune p72 ecu from a guy in South Africa , this is where I am from by the way. I would like to know if there is anyway of know if it is Demon v1 or v2 and if it has the boost function already on it.

Thank you

Jeromy

Welcome.

The Demon has the version number printed right on the board.

You will need to look at the ECU components to see whether they installed boost control. This has nothing to do with the Demon. This link outlines the components that are installed.

Thank you for your quick response. If it is version one will I have any problems ? Currently traveling for work will be back in South Africa on the 23rd will check it and get back to you also the guy told me once I plug it into the car and am online it will automatically open with the software key is this true? Want to try it in my B18CR swap in my civic 4dr while I am still busy with the new turbo motor for the car.

We support both. Software keys are automated.

Hi

I have just checked my ecu and it has a demon v1.2 Sad but has the PWM boost stuff Very Happy

What are the main differences between the 2 versions probably discussed before so a link we do fine. Do you think there is a need for me to get the ecu refurbished as I am not sure how old it is ?

Thank you in advance

The Demon 2 has a different form to it, if you look at the main website you'll see a photo for comparison. Otherwise they're mostly the same functionally.

I do not know what cables were installed in your ECU. You can refer to a photo of a Demon install to compare to.
