wideband direct serial logging issue

Hi!

I have a problem with my direct serial logging.
I know its not specific neptune related but maybe you have some good advice/input Smile

I have a new laptop but it has no serial connector, so i bought an usb serial converter, Ive setup the baud rate etc in the system on the com port for my innovate lc-2.

The problem is i can start direct serial logging and works fine, BUT after a while the values of afr just freeze! Sometimes it takes 10 min before it freeze, sometimes 5 mins some even shorter and thats really annoying..
When in neptune i stop direct serial logging and connect again then it works for a min then freezes again Sad

Its the same in log-works.

Tried innovates support forum.. but its down??

What can cause this issue?

Thanks!

If it also happens in logworks than the converter or the drivers for the converter are the issue. You may want to try a different converter.

Thanks for the fast reply! Smile

Oh i for got to tell i already tried a different usb converter, but same result.
Hmm i saw there is a new firmware update available for the lc2 i could try that.
Could it be the lc-2 controller itself? That it times out or something..
I have an analog gauge wich works flawless.. Guess its something with the serial protocol.
After that i Probably have to mail innovate.

If you're not using a power inverter then I have no other suggestions.

That was my only thought for something that produces a lot of noise.
