logger gear indicator

SlowMo97 Tue Oct 24, 2006 3:39 am

I was playing around with the logger to day and noticed that when i was in fourth gear the logger skiped fourth and went to fifth gear. if that makes sence? I have a D16 Y7 bottom end And a D16 Y8 head. And the tranny Is a EX tranny From a 1998 Civic EX which had the D16Y8 motor in it. Is there a problem in the software that causes this and if so is there a fix?

Thanks SlowMO

The ECU depicts gear by RPM and speed thresholds. It varies with different trannies and if it's not set specifically to your tranny it can do what you're saying.

That is the reason and it would have been that way while he was tuning. Since I'm sure it was tuned properly even with those settings there's no adverse effects and no need to worry.
