Hello!

Another question, hope once again you will help me Very Happy

I've noticed something and i need more explanations

As you may see on the picture above, i have recorded a datalog session, then when i "read" it with the datalog analyser, i can also see "where" i am in the fuel or ignition table and it is really a usefull tool Very Happy

I also notice that if instead of showing table, i select "show lambda", when i read the datalog session, lambda values appears ...

If i understand correctly ( and maybe it is not the case), these lambda values ( or afr values in may case) are the values sended by my afr gauge, aren't they?
I noticed that these values are different from the values i can read on the datalog at the same time, as you can see in the picture, is it normal?

I have to say that the "datalog" value ( the one showed in the datalog analyzer window, named eld input) is really close of the value that i can read on my gauge...

First i was thinking that the lambda value showed on the table could be an "interpolated" value, but is it possible?

I also have another question, i noticed that , as you also see in the picture, some values aren't writted on the "table" screen, is it normal?

I just want to add , as i surely said before, that NepTune is really a impressive and helpfull tool, i really enjoy Learning to use it, even if i didn't have a lot of time for that...
A great thanks for this and also for the great support, it is not easy for me because of my bad English and i really appreciate your help and your patience ( even when i ask for answers that i could find in the "help" section of the software... Embarassed )

Cells that you have crossed into do have recorded lambda data that's averaged over how many samples have been taken for each cell.

And what about the "unwritten" cells? I don't understand why sometime they are couloured but without any number Inside.

Are you referring to the map trace? I don't see any cells there that are colored and don't have a value other than the map trace.

Yes i really enjoy it, it is really powerfull and easy to use, even for me Embarassed

I've noticed something strange on one datalog , i think i'm going to have another wiring issue. I'm going to check all my wiring again but maybe you could tell me if you ever had see this kind of problem:

As you see, at steady state, i've got some "jump" on the rpm information and also on the duty cycle, but for real the clutch isn't sleeping ... The jump is too short to be real, so i'm sure it is an electrical problem...
Have you ever seen this kind of problem? I have to add that previously i didn't have this problem, it could also comes from a failing ECU maybe...
Thanks a lot for your help!

So i've grounded the shield of the ignitor sensors positive wire and next week i'll see if it is better or not...

I've also connected my EGT gauge to the Demon, next step wil be to install the probe on the manifold! Very Happy

Voici la suite ! Very Happy

So i have done some other records , on the first i only notice one "spike", on the second no spike at all Shocked
So there's two possibilities , first it is a heat related and it is possible... ... the other way is that is could be related to the a/c clutch control Shocked

In fact, qhen i noticed the problem, the A/C was connected.

What do you think about that? Is it possible to be a problem with the heat?
My next step is to connect an oscilloscope on the signal input to see if the spikes comes from the ignitor or are generated Inside the ECU...
Thanks for the help Very Happy

Hello!

I didn't find the time to search more about these Strange pikes, i hope in September when i will be in holidays.

I have done some good progress with my map, before i had a very excessive fuel consumption of 15.7 mpg.
After i worked on the map i have a fuel consumption of 23.75 mpg , i'm very happy of the result Very Happy

Once again i have to tell how much i'm happy with NepTune and now as i begin to clearly understand what i can do with it Very Happy
The next step will be to squeeze some extra horspower of my engine , but firts i have to understand why i have these Strange pikes, i hope that it is not the beginning of another wiring problem Embarassed

I'll keep you updated! Thanks for the help! Very Happy
