shift light ???? with neptune rpt

I hooked my ground wire from my shift light to A13 the ground for the check engin light it will work but very dim???? is their another way to hook it up so it will work right and bright? I like to shift at diff rpm for my gears so it will be nice to run it with neptune?

The grounds from the ECU aren't meant to have a lot of draw on them. You're supposed to use a relay.

thanks i did not know so use the ground from the ecu to turn on the relay, can the relay still be used as a ground?
