TunerView RD1 not displaying from hondata

Llcfabrications Sun Sep 11, 2016 7:55 pm

Like said in the subject my tunerview is displaying live feed from the hondata. Interface is hooked up threw 12 volt and ground and the rtp cable is ran from the interface to the display in the middle rtp port. Screen powers up fine with now issues, displays my layout just fine and also connects to my computer just fine. I believe either I have a bad interface or there's a short in the rtp cable some place. Need help asap this is in a drag car and I know longer have a factory cluster I rely on the screen 100% otherwise I have to ride around with the laptop directly hook to the ecu just to see what's going on

Did you program it for the HD?

Does the 4 pin cable have the same pinouts at both ends? and plugged into the RTP port on the display running to the 4 pin on the interface module?

Is the green light on in the interface when the USB cable is plugged into the HD unit?

Yes it's set for hondata, it use to work fine after you guys repaired the led in the screen awhile back,

It has the same pin outs the cable came with the screen when it was originally purchased and they match but the ground wire which is black I assume is exposed as if the wire insulation has come off but the other wires are still oem

And I'm not sure if the interface has a green light I have it mounted under my dash but I will check. Where is the green light visible from?

If you don't take the lid off you can look through the side cuts.

Powered the RD1 and the interface and I didn't see the green light, so I assume that something has gone wrong with the interface or it's not power correctly which I'm pretty sure it is. I even used my power probe to see it it had 12 volts from the switched source and a proper ground and all that checks out

When you first give it power do the green LEDs bounce back and forth?

I didn't see any light when I powered it, It's crazy because it woked great a last month now nothing. Guess I'll try to hook it up to I different power source and ground if that doesn't work I'll just buy a new rtp cord and hondata interface

Just the interface would be all that's necessary.
