Turbo RPM logging?

liam821 Sat Jul 09, 2016 6:57 am

I'm wanting to log the turbo rpms on my Borg EFR turbo. Road Rage Gages makes a turbo speed scaler which basically converts a speed sensor output to 0-4.5v where 0 is 0rpms and 4.5v is 190,000 rpm. Should be easy enough to log i'd think. I have a rev1 Neptune RTP (I believe it's one of the first ones you ever shipped, I was a beta tester) which is still working great after all these years.

Question is can I convert the analog voltage signal into a rpm on the RTP for data logging purposes? I suppose I can just see the voltage - but having the rpm would be slick.

You can run any analog 0-5v signal to four analog inputs on the ECU and more if you have a Demon, but not the original.
