Connection issue with Bluetooth module for Demon ][

amoxin Sat Jul 18, 2015 9:29 pm

This is a new demon ][ and bt module. Turn key to on position, scan for devices on my tablet, tablet recognizes bt module and pairs but won't connect. Usb cable unplugged from demon usb remote extension. Tried a reseat for the bt module. Blue light on bt module blinks fast initially and then slows down. I must be missing something, thoughts?

It actually has to connect to pair, and slows down upon connect. How did you come to your conclusion?

My Bluetooth icon on the tablet doesn't show a connected device. I paid for the tuner view app and configured that, it gives an error saying there is no ecu connected when I select the moates bt module.

The TunerView app only show "ECU not foud" whey you scan for bluetooth device and not found any.
When you try to connect with the app you see a list of paired devices and you can scan for new devices. This list is empty?

Can you record it somehow and upload it to youtube or something?
The "ECU not found" message only shown when you search for new bluetooth device.

Just an update here, it seems to be connecting to the bluetooth module now. Unfortunately, the gauges are all wacky, showing incorrect information. Has anybody else experienced this?

Not unless J12 isn't cut.

If you did Connect Bluetooth instead of Connect USB from the menu it should cut the packet size down enough to work through bluetooth. As always it's suggested to upload and download through USB only.

Simple question. Do i need to remove the plastic cover of the bluetooth device?[/img]

I'm assuming that's to protect the unit, but that is not a module I produce. It won't make a difference in your connectivity.
